Field actions

From MediaHub 1.22.0, each source image card in a MediaHub field's Detail view has an Actions button. It opens a dropdown aligned with the library tile menu — the same visual language editors already know from the main library.

The Actions menu is built as an extensible shell for field-level operations. Copy to field is the first capability; more actions are planned for future releases.

Where to find it

1. Open a page that holds one or more MediaHub fields.
2. Switch the field to Detail display mode (or set Detail as the field default).
3. On a source image card — not a crop-only card — click Actions in the card toolbar.

Crop assets and non-image files do not show the Actions menu in 1.22.0.

Copy to field

Copy to field lists every other MediaHub field on the same template as indented submenu items. Pick a target field and MediaHub copies the source asset there immediately — no page save required for the copy itself, though you still save the page when you are done editing.

Behaviour:

• Single-value fields — the target is cleared first, then the asset is added.
• Multi-value fields — the asset is appended unless it is already present (duplicates are skipped).
• maxItems — if the target field has a maximum and is full, the copy is refused with a clear message.
• Per-field metadata — when the source field has per-reference alt or tags for that asset, those values are copied to the target field's slot where available.

The submenu only lists fields that use the MediaHub picker on the current template. Fields on other templates, or non-MediaHub field types, do not appear.

Typical uses

• Copy a hero image into a social-sharing field without re-picking from the library.
• Duplicate a gallery lead image into a dedicated thumbnail field on the same page.
• Move content between two MediaHub fields during a template refactor without losing per-field alt text.
