SEO Preview Bar

View a page's resolved SEO data side by side with the page on the frontend. A toolbar and drawer for logged-in editors on the live site.

Requires SEO NEO Pro. Module: SeoNeoBar.

The main benefit of the SEO Preview Bar is simple: you can view the SEO data for a page side by side with the page itself on the frontend. Logged-in editors browse the live site as normal; a fixed toolbar at the bottom opens a drawer with fully resolved meta, Open Graph, schema, links, and more for the URL they are actually looking at.

That is a different workflow from the admin SEO tab. The tab is for editing fields. The preview bar is for checking what SEO NEO will output on the real page, in context, without switching to the back end or guessing from field values alone.

Who sees the bar

The bar appears only when all of the following are true:

  • You are logged in with page-edit permission (or are a superuser)
  • You are on a frontend page, not the ProcessWire admin
  • The page HTML contains a </body> tag (normal full-page renders)
  • Free SEO NEO is installed

Visitors and logged-out users never see it.

Works on its own, richer with companions

The preview bar is a standalone Pro module. Every drawer panel works as soon as SeoNeoBar is installed. Two other Pro modules unlock extra behaviour inside the bar:

Field Mapping Visualiser Full fallback-chain via … labels on the SEO & Meta, Open Graph, and Twitter / X panels (for example via headline ← seoneo_title). Without it, title and description still show simpler single-step source labels where SEO NEO can infer them.
Redirects Create redirect action on broken internal links in the Links panel. HTTP status badges (200, redirect, 404) always run; only the one-click redirect workflow requires the Redirects module.

Install the preview bar first, then add companions when you need their extra surfaces. Sitemaps is independent of the bar.

Drawer panels

Each toolbar button opens a panel in the drawer. See the dedicated page for what each one shows:

  • SEO & Meta: SERP preview, title, description, canonical, robots, hreflang, and tools
  • Headings: h1–h6 outline and summary badges
  • Open Graph: OG card preview and Twitter / X fields
  • Schema: JSON-LD graph and validator links
  • Links: internal link status checks and optional create redirect
  • Images: alt and title audit for page images

Performance

Panel data loads lazily the first time you open the drawer. Pages where the bar stays closed pay no resolution overhead beyond a small injected script tag.

Install

  1. Install free SEO NEO first.
  2. Copy or symlink the SeoNeoBar folder into site/modules/.
  3. Go to Modules > Refresh and install SeoNeo Bar.

No admin configuration screen. The bar is on whenever the module is installed and you meet the visibility rules above.
