Docs SEO NEO Version 1.x SEO & Meta

SEO & Meta

SERP preview, resolved title and description, canonical, robots, hreflang, and quick links to robots.txt and sitemap.xml on the frontend SEO Preview Bar.

Requires SEO NEO Pro. Drawer panel in the SEO Preview Bar.

The SEO & Meta panel shows fully resolved search and indexing signals for the page you are viewing on the frontend. Values come from the same resolution path SEO NEO uses when it renders the page, so you see what crawlers and search results would get, not raw field empties in the admin.

What you see

  • SERP preview: Google-style title, description, site name, and breadcrumb URL. Toggle desktop or mobile layout. On multilingual sites, use the language switcher in the drawer header to preview another locale.
  • Meta: resolved title and description with character counters (green / amber / red against SEO NEO thresholds). Current page URL and canonical URL, with notes when canonical is self-referencing, explicit, or auto from the page URL.
  • Signals: page language, word count, and publisher name when configured.
  • Robots: index / noindex and follow / nofollow badges, plus any X-Robots-Tag header value.
  • Keywords: meta keywords when set, or a missing placeholder.
  • Hreflang: alternate language links when the site is multilingual, or a single-language note.
  • Tools: quick links to robots.txt and sitemap.xml when SEO NEO knows their URLs.

Field Mapping companion

Title and description include a via … source line when SEO NEO can infer where the value came from. With the Field Mapping Visualiser installed, those labels expand to the full smart-map fallback chain (for example via headline ← seoneo_title). Without Field Mapping, simpler single-step labels still appear where inference is possible.

Compared to the admin SEO tab

The admin SEO tab is for editing fields and previewing before save. This panel is for checking output on the live frontend URL, side by side with the rendered page.
